Old Shell Road between Hillside, Wacker lanes to temporarily close Saturday
Mobile, Ala. — A section of Old Shell Road just west of Interstate 65 will be temporarily closed on Saturday, Sept. 27, while City of Mobile crews work to repair a broken storm drain.
Beginning at approximately 6 a.m., the section of Old Shell Road between Wacker Lane and Hillside Lane will be closed while the city makes the repairs. Local traffic and residents will still be able to access their homes, and the repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day.
Traffic will detour north onto McGregor Avenue to Spring Hill Avenue, east to New Shiloh Avenue, back to Old Shell Road. A map of the detour is attached.
