Section of Conti Street to close Oct. 28 for Saenger Theatre roof replacement
Mobile, Ala. — Beginning Tuesday, October 28, Conti Street between Jackson and Joachim streets will temporarily close to accommodate a roof replacement at the Saenger Theatre.
The City of Mobile will be completely replacing the roof at the historic theatre in downtown Mobile. To support the equipment and materials needed for the project, this section of Conti Street will remain closed for approximately six to eight weeks. The sidewalks along this portion of Conti Street will also be closed to ensure the safety pedestrians and workers.
Traffic will be detoured around the closure via S. Joachim Street, W. Government Street, and N. Jackson Street. Detour signage will be posted throughout the area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, especially when workers are present during daytime hours.
