Mobile Terrace Community Clean Up this Saturday
Mobile, AL – This Saturday, July 9th, Council President Gina Gregory will host a Community Clean Up and Neighborhood Celebration in Mobile Terrace. The event will begin at McCants-Chavers Park with the clean-up at 8AM followed by a neighborhood celebration at 11AM.
Volunteers from the community will walk the neighborhood streets picking up litter and eliminating potential mosquito breeding grounds. They will also hear from a representative of the Mobile County Health Department who will brief them on the mosquito borne Zika virus and ways they can protect their community. Bags and gloves will be provided.
Following the clean-up, the neighborhood celebration will commence with refreshments, courtesy blood pressure checks from Mobile Fire-Rescue, a fire truck and visits from McGruff the Crime Dog and BayBear.
Volunteers and local residents are encouraged to attend!!
