City hosting Household Hazardous Waste collection event March 11 

 

WHAT:  Household Hazardous Waste Collection for City of Mobile Residents   

WHEN: Saturday, March 11, 2023 
             9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  
 
WHERE:  James Seals Jr. Park 
               540 Texas Street 
               Mobile, AL 36603 

 

Mobile, Ala. — Registration is now open for the Spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event the City of Mobile will host on March 11, 2023, at James Seals Jr. Park.

This free event will give City of Mobile residents a chance to safely and responsibly discard items that aren’t accepted by routine trash and garbage collection services. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 11 at Seals Park (540 Texas Street). Registration is required.

Some accepted items include automotive fluids, aerosols, batteries, fluorescent tubes, paint, cleaners, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. The event WILL NOT take tires, firearms, electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical waste, appliances, equipment, and other prohibited items. 

The event is open to Mobile residents and individuals only. Contractors and businesses will not be allowed to drop off items. To manage traffic flow, prior registration is required.
