City of Mobile offering additional parking, carpool discounts during Mardi Gras

Mobile, Ala. — To help accommodate Mobilians and visitors, the City of Mobile will be offering additional parking and carpool discounts on parading days during the 2024 Mardi Gras season.

Beginning January 26, 2024, additional parking will be available at the GulfQuest Maritime Museum and certain designated areas underneath Interstate 10. These areas will open for public parking two hours before the first parade each day and will close by 10 p.m. each night. No overnight parking will be allowed in these areas. Cars left after 10 p.m. are subject to be towed.

To encourage carpooling, the City of Mobile is also offering discounted carpool rates in these lots to vehicles with three or more passengers. These areas will be staffed and operated by Premium Parking on behalf of the City of Mobile. Staff will be onsite to direct motorists to any available parking. Please note that parking availability could be impacted on cruise days and during planned events at GulfQuest. You can see a list parking rates for these areas and a map of their locations below:

$20 for 3-hour parking
$25 for 6-hour parking
$30 for 12-hour paring
$10 for 3-hour parking with three or more passengers
$15 for 6-hour parking with three or more passengers
$20 for 12-hour parking with three or more passengers
