A true Mobilian and servant to his community, Councilman Cory Penn is passionate about helping to improve the quality of life for area youth.
A 2002 graduate of John L. LeFlore High School, Penn was president of the school’s Student Government Association.
Penn is also a graduate of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He became an educator and taught special needs students at Chastang Middle School in Trinity Gardens. During his tenure at the school, he co-founded the Chastang Elite Service Club which is designed to help young boys discover their purpose and give them the skills to have a successful life.
Penn is currently the unit director at Kiwanis Boys and Girls where he teaches good character and leadership skills. He also shares the importance of sustaining meaningful relationships with others and developing a positive self-image.
He is a minister at Right Way Christian Center Church. His true desire is to help individuals fully grow into their potential. He is a family man who puts his faith into action.
A member of Leadership Mobile Class of 2021, Penn is also a member of the board of directors at Mobile Community Action Inc.
Penn always stands ready to help his family, friends and community. He and his wife, Ivonza have two children: daughter, Kori Bell and son, Caleb.
