Profile Photo of Josh Woods

Josh and his wife Kristin are raising their three boys in District 6. He is a proud graduate from the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell College of Business and, along with his wife, are Lifetime members of the University’s Alumni Association. After college, he had a decade long career in banking becoming a Vice President in the commercial lending department. Josh currently serves as the Executive Director of the Greater Gulf State Fair and its year-round rental footprint: The Grounds.

Josh currently serves as Treasurer and a Board member of the Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile, and on the community board of advisors of Kessler Federal Credit Union.

Josh has a passion to serve the residents of District 6 and to see the City as a whole continue the momentum it is currently experiencing. He seeks to listen, learn, and lead side by side with the residents of his District. As he states, District 6 is where Mobile comes home and it is imperative it remains that way.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys uncovering adventures with his and Kristin’s three boys, volunteering in the community, and pizza and ice cream Friday movie nights at home with his family.
