Mobile 311
Mobile 311 is a service request system that allows citizens to request non-emergency support from the City of Mobile. Common Mobile 311 service request orders (SRO) include reports such as missed garbage and trash pickup, overgrown grass, potholes, and stray animals. You may also submit a Mobile 311 to ask questions about city services. You can submit a Mobile 311 request through the web portal, smartphone app, emailing Mobile 311, or calling Mobile 311. Citizens are highly encouraged to download the Mobile 311 app in order to include photos with their report and to track the status of their report.
Mobile 311 helps you by
- Routing service requests to the right city department.
- Letting you track the progress of your service request orders (SRO).
- Answering questions about city services.
- Providing a way to submit suggestions about city services.
Mobile 311 does NOT
- Handle requests for service for Mobile County, State of Alabama, or the Federal Government. Mobile 311 only handles requests for service to the City of Mobile.
- Respond to emergencies. For emergencies, call 911.
- Dispatch physical crews directly. Mobile 311 routes requests to other city departments for service.
- Respond to water, sewer, electric, or gas issues. Please call the utility companies directly:
- For water & sewer emergencies, call MAWSS at 251-694-3165.
- For electric emergencies and outages, call Alabma Power at 1-800-888-2726.
- For gas emergencies, call 911. For Spire customer service, call 1-800-292-4008.

Citizens are highly encouraged to download the Mobile 311 app. The Mobile 311 app allows citizens to attatch photos with their report, track the status of their report, and submit reports 24/7. Please note that requests will be completed during regular City of Mobile business hours. The City of Mobile 311 app is free to download, and you can find it in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The new and improved Mobile 311 app and website became available on July 19, 2025. Existing Mobile 311 accounts were automatically transferred to the new platform. Returning users can enter the email address associated with their previous account and then select “Reset Password” and follow the steps to log into the new platforms. Additional guidance is here.

Connect with Mobile 311 by calling 251-208-5311 or just 311 within the city limits. The Mobile 311 call center is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Calls made to Mobile 311 after 6 p.m., over the weekend, or on city holidays will be sent to voicemail.
MyPlace
The MyPlace tool allows citizens to easily find their garbage pickup day, trash pickup day, City Council District, County Commissioner District, and other information by searching their home address. Click here to use the MyPlace tool.
Trash and Garbage

Animal Services

City of Mobile Animal Services only responds to animal-related issues within the Mobile city limits, not the Mobile police jurisdiction. Electronics Recycling
Citizens can drop off used residential electronics at any of the city’s three single-stream recycling centers in the blue bins marked for electronic recycling. Click here to find the list of acceptable electronics or to find the recycling center nearest to you.
TVs and other large electronics will not be accepted, but they can be taken directly to Ransom Recycling’s facility at 320 South Craft Highway in Chickasaw. There is a $30 disposal fee for CRT TVs only.
Mosquito Control
To control the local mosquito population, the Mobile County Health Department conducts inseciticide spraying throughout Mobile County. Mosquito complaints may be submitted to MCHD's Vector Control Department by completing the Online Complaint Form, by calling 251-690-8124, or by emailing VectorServices@mchd.org.
