Time of bid opening: 2:30pm

Include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to carefully remove existing carpeting and transition strips. Include the removal and reinstallation of all floor mounted door stops, install new carpet tile, LVT, 6” wall base, and transition strips as outlined in this document.

The Flooring Contractor shall provide to the Owner  two (2) full boxes of each type of flooring installed upon project completion.

The Flooring Contractor shall move all existing furnishings and equipment prior to performing work and return the items to each area prior to continuing on to the next phase of work. 

All work operations shall take place in the identified areas during the week, and during designated weekends if agreed upon in advance. 

Debris shall be removed from the site at the end of each work day. 

Adjacent surfaces and  hallway areas shall be protected and kept dirt/debris free for the duration of the project. 

Thoroughly clean these areas at the end of each work day. 

Provide mats at entrances to adjacent areas as wipe-off points for foot attire and wheels of equipment. 

Contractor shall coordinate all work sequences with the Project Manager and end-user representative to minimize disruption of employee work activities. Contractors wishing to Bid this Work shall be pre-approved in accordance with attached pre-approval procedure.

It is the responsibility of the BIDDER to check for, download and to include with their BID RESPONSE any and all ADDENDUMS that are issued for a specific BID issued by the City of Mobile. Failure to download and include ADDENDUM(s) in your BID RESPONSE may cause your bid to be rejected. This is a sealed bid. Any responses faxed or e-mailed will be rejected. This is a sealed bid. All responses must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bid number on the outside of the envelope with the bid opening date. Any response that arrives improperly marked or with no bid number and opening date on the outside of the delivery or express package and opened in error will be rejected and not considered. It is the responsibility of the bidder to insure that their bid response is delivered to and received in the at the location or address specifically directed in the specification by the date and time prescribed.
